Tonight, Kevin and I are meeting up at one of our old, favorite restaurants for our "vow date". I read on The Knot that if you are choosing to brave the experience of writing your own vows then you should have what's called a "vow date" where you talk about why you love each other and take a romantic stroll down memory lane.
I already feel as though we're going back in time, since we're meeting at the place instead of going together. I'm running around the house primping getting all excited for my upcoming night out. I feel slightly jittery - in that great, exciting way like when you've first started dating someone. I probably got a smidgen overdressed for this occasion, but I wanted to wear the dress I had on during our first Valentine's Day together. I figure wearing a nostalgic outfit couldn't hurt.
Apparently, Kevin already has a whole theme and idea of what he wants to say in his vows. Me, on the other hand, who's the writer (sort of anyway), hasn't gotten that far yet. I have so much to say that I don't know where to begin.
Maybe I should take some advice from Julie Andrews and, "Start at the very beginning - a very good place to start."
