Apparently, squirrels like tortilla chips.
A couple of weeks ago a hole appeared on our trash can lid. I thought it might have been a raccoon or something since the hole was pretty sizable and there were scratch marks around it. After my observations today, it is clear the culprits are squirrels. I caught them three times today, climbing in through the hole in the trash can and stealing tortilla chips. Nothing else. Just the chips. I peeked in and couldn't see a rip in the trash bag itself. These are crafty little devils.
I put a piece of wood on top just as quick fix and as I heard it fall, I went around to the side yard and saw one little guy hopping away and the other standing on top of the lid like "Yeah lady, I'm eating your chips. What are ya gonna do about it?".
I almost feel like I should get them some salsa so they can have a real squirrel fiesta.
