The time after a bridal shower reminds me of when I was a little girl and I would have stacks of presents piled up under the Christmas tree. I would spend the next week taking each new item out of it's packaging, admiring it and then finding it a proper home where I would always know where it is when I wanted to play with it.
Right now, I currently have a spare room chock full of gifts and going through them makes me relive the excitement I had just the other day of tearing off wrapping paper and bows. I've been placing things in various spots throughout the house, trying it out, seeing if I like it here or there, and I'm sure I'll change my mind many times before I find a permanent place, but it's all in good fun!
This is why we decided to buy the house before we got married. I would have absolutely nowhere to put anything back in my old one bedroom. As it is, I still have to find homes for my new coffee maker, spice rack, my wine grape wall hangings and many many more.
Looks like I'll have to play hostess sometime in the very near future!
